Have you heard of the online grocer Brandless yet? I have recently placed my first order and would love to share my experience with you.
About Brandless
Brandless has been around now for just over one year. Their primary focus is to bring better quality products to more people for a low price. Nothing is over $3.00! They manage to sell these amazing products as reasonable prices by cutting out all of the middle people, no extra costs going to merchandising. Another neat thing about Brandless is ALL of their food products are NON-GMO and over half also organic. The Brandless cleaning products adhere to the strictest performance and nontoxic, safer-chemical standards set by the EPA.
“What else could they possibly offer?” you ask. Well Brandless is against animal testing and have banned over 400 harmful ingredients like parabens, polypropylene, phthalates, and sulfates from their beauty products. There are wonderful, sustainable stationary products available, and even tree-free toilet paper.
I forgot one of the most amazing things that Brandless does! They donate a meal for every order placed through a partnership they have with Feeding America.
Annual Membership
Brandless has an annual membership program that costs only $36. With that membership you receive free shipping on all orders without having to reach a purchase minimum. They will also donate 10 meals to Feeding America and an additional two meals with every purchase you make.
What I chose for my first delivery
When I placed my first order I wanted to try a little bit of everything. Brandless has a few different departments/categories the departments are as follows… Food, Household & Kitchen, Beauty & Personal Care and Stationary. Each of these departments has several different sub-categories to make it even easier to find what you are looking for.
Here is a list of what I had in my first order:
- Almond butter- it comes in a squeezable pouch which is totally awesome and convenient for lunch on the go, or kid-friendly snacks
- Oregano- comes in a labeled resealable bag
- Turmeric- comes in a labeled resealable bag
- Coconut Sugar- also comes in a resealable bag
- Gluten-free pizza crust mix
- Dark Roast single serve coffee pods- 6 pack, the coffee is very good and best of all organic
- Cheese duck crackers- my kids loved them
- Whole wheat animal cookies- again, my kids LOVED
- Pretzel thins – Sea salt- These were very good and enjoyed by everyone in the house
- Dish soap- Balsamic Greens and Grapefruit scented- Smells A-MAZE-ING!
- Aluminum foil- Very thick and durable
- Parchment paper- Unbleached, great quality and very durable
- Bottle opener- Feels well made and opens bottles and notches cans for pouring very easily
- Measuring spoon set- Appears to be good quality and made of stainless steel
- Glass spice jars- These are small, but super cute and great for those less-commonly used spices
- Santoku knife- This knife was very heavy, and maybe needed some sharpening prior to use. I had a hard time using it but that may just be due to me using the ceramic knives for so long.
I am expecting my second Brandless order tomorrow. In this order I have selected items from the Beauty & Personal Care department as well as stationary. There were several items that I had reordered (like coffee and cheese duck crackers) and also some new snack foods to try.
My overall experience
Both orders I places were on Fridays, I had my order the following Wednesday. A package with multiple items being shipped and received within three business days is pretty sweet. When I received the package I was amazed at how well packed it was. None of my items were damaged and there wasn’t an excess of empty space. The products are all great. We devoured the snack food immediately, well the kids did, my husband and I have been trying to eat Keto. Any of the non-food products were fantastic quality and well worth the money. Obviously I love my experience ordering from Brandless since I have already ordered more than once.
