August Simply Earth Recipe Box Theme:

This month the theme is skincare, which is perfect for me. I am currently in the last trimester of my pregnancy and my skin has been giving me some trouble. It’s crazy how much hormones shift and what that does to your body. Did I also mention that I have a young teenage daughter? She too is experiencing hormonal changes that are effecting her skin. I am thinking we need a mother/daughter at home “spa day.” But first we need to make these…

The Recipes:

You should have most of the required ingredients/tools to create these recipes between the Bonus Box they send you and the Simply Earth Recipe Box. However, sometimes you will need items not included.

Frankincense Face Scrub- You will need Oatmeal, Brown Sugar, and Honey.
Rosemary Facial Steam- All you need is hot water and a towel.
Skin Renewing Face Mask- You will need Aloe Vera Gel, Distilled Water and double boiler set-up.
Hydrosol Facial Toner- You will need Distilled Water and Apple Cider Vinegar.
Moisturizing Face Cream- You will need the Aloe Vera Gel, Distilled Water, a blender or similar and a sealable jar/container.
Clear Skin Roll On- You should have all of the needed items.

What did we think of this month’s Recipe Box?

Well, we loved it! My daughter and I not only made all of the recipes in one afternoon, but we enjoyed trying them all. My personal favorite and the easiest recipe was the Rosemary Facial Steam. The Skin Renewing Face Mask was my daughter’s favorite.
